Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

(Listening): Recognize familiar words and very basic phrases concerning himself/herself, his/her family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly.

(Speaking): Use simple phrases and sentences to talk about personal details and to describe what others do, where they live and people they know. 

(Reading): Recognize familiar names, words and very simple sentences, if presented on short and simple texts such as notices, cards, posters, messages, lists, or menus.

(Writing): Write simple isolated phrases, personal details, and short sentences on simple application or registration forms, simple postcard, simple messages, and short and simple e-mails.

(Grammar): Show an acceptable degree of grammatical control and do not make major mistakes that lead to communication breakdowns.

(Vocabulary): Demonstrate understanding of a list of basic vocabulary, composed of isolated words and phrases related to particular concrete situations and needed for comprehension and performance of communicative tasks described at this particular level.

(Interpersonal Skills & Responsibility): Show the ability to act responsibly and ethically in carrying out individual as well as group projects.
